Time Flies…

Time flies, doesn’t it?

It is already March! In 2023! And this is the time of year where I go, ‘How time flies…’ although I repeat it to myself. Silently. Because I don’t want to annoy others with my clichés. But still… time is flying by. Relentlessly. It doesn’t stop for anyone. No one. I’m writing one-word sentences but… Time does fly. While we waste our time on unnecessary worry, complaints, and above all, fear.

Fear, which has no face or form, dominates. It keeps you tied where you are because it seems like something really bad will happen if you leave your comfort zone. I have something to share: It doesn’t get bad. It gets better. While we are saturating ourselves with the trivialities of life, it flows by. And we forget to enjoy the experience of life itself. Instead, we set ‘goals’ and chase it, never really relishing the moment.

The only way life can ever happen is in the moment. Not in the past, not in the future but in the Now. This. Moment. And it keeps changing, although all of us tie ourselves up in knots tryin to control it. We never can. Life without change is stagnant. Even if we choose to live that way, life will change anyway as we age. And move towards the same destination, whether we like it or not. Whether we are afraid or not. Whether we accept it or not.

From this perspective, it becomes apparent that we are maybe here to live more fulfilled lives. Not walk around sunk into ourselves in misery or constant whining or negativity. None of that makes us understand life better or improves our self-awareness. Maybe we are here to realize that life is meant to be a fulfilling process; that we need to embrace each and every experience fully, whether we perceive it as good or bad; embrace everyone who ever comes into our life and absorb whatever we need to from them, because everyone is moving, evolving, on their own journey.

Life is a dynamic process, ever-changing, wonderful process. Instead of constantly struggling against it, try embracing it. Let the waves throw you into the sky and cradle you as you fall into its depths. Enjoy flying and enjoy going into deep depths. Let yourself go. Let go. The more you explore, the better it becomes because you recognize that it is important to savor all the experiences life offers rather than avoiding them.

Life is never stagnant. Why should you be? Move with its flow. Your journey is waiting for you.
