Spring is too precious to spend indoors, especially in front of screens. I can’t even imagine vegetating in front of a computer for hours. TV makes me restless. I time my smart phone use because my life will not be contained in a screen, any screen. The early morning sun feels wonderful. It warms me inside and out. And so, I trek to a nearby trail everyday if I am in the city. Many seem to agree with me, judging by the sudden increase in walkers and joggers on the trail.
One ‘trail artist’ welcomed spring with a Snoopy soft toy artwork. I saw the famous cartoon dog carefully arranged, sitting under a tree on some rocks, utterly relaxed, and with a huge smile on his face. He even had a little rock nestled on his lap. He seemed to be people watching, something I like doing too. And so, I sat on a sun-warmed bigger rock in the vicinity, watching bikers and people going by.
I felt utterly contented doing nothing except absorbing the greenery, sights and sounds of a warm spring morning. You might want to spend some time doing ‘nothing’ this spring too. It is wonderfully addictive and refreshing.
